Case Study
National Academy Foundation
In 2003, the National Academy Foundation (NAF) approached us to help it communicate the Foundation's academy-development process to potential members. Charged with building career-themed academies in partnership with high schools and businesses, NAF required a whole-system approach and looked to us and our unique visual tools for a solution.
In a series of graphically facilitated meetings, we created an academy-development model based on the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance Model® and used its architecture in the resulting Grove Storymap™, Storybook and additional communications materials related to the project. Together, these materials helped to guide teams in starting and maintaining career academies in their regions.
“The Grove drew the best out of the NAF team. They took what was already there and presented it in a way that made it new again in compelling ways for our staff, our member schools, their teachers, and the students and communities they serve.”
