Workshop Overview

In this four-and-a-half-day online workshop led by Grove CEO Gisela Wendling, Ph.D., you will explore how to embrace the unknown and inevitable destabilization that any real change brings with it. Tap into your own and the transformational agency of those you are working with, and find individual and organizational renewal. Along with the other participants, you will consider important distinctions between types and drivers of change and how the core patterns of change unfold across levels of systems.

You will be able to appreciate the competencies of working with the uncertain and emergent aspects of change, you already have and identify those you feel are important for you to develop. You will discover new ways to tap into your generativity, work with resistance, envision possibilities, and connect to your personal pathway for a more promising future. You will learn to support individuals, groups, and organizations to develop their own.

Each participant is invited to bring a change challenge to ground the learning in real-time situations. Coming together with a select group of other change leaders and practitioners allows everyone to experience deep learning through well-facilitated explorations of ideas, cases, practices and each other's change challenges. And, most importantly, you will make progress with the change challenge you are working on.

You will receive a printed copy of The Liminal Pathways Study and a comprehensive workbook to support your learning in the workshop.

“Like all the best models, there is a beguiling simplicity to the Liminal Pathways Framework (LPF) that can open the door to a lifetime of study and practice. Grounded in ancient wisdom and modern perspectives, the LPF can be applied in coaching, counseling, team development, organization development and social change.

Dr. Wendling urges us to remember that all transformational change requires each affected person to go through a personal transformation, and to think about what kinds of inner and outer support structures in this situation, at this time, with these people, will empower them to grapple more effectively with the inner work of changing.”

Gervase R. Bushe, Ph.D
Professor of Leadership and Organization Development, Simon Fraser University and author, The Dynamics of Generative Change

About Liminal Pathways

With more than 30 years of professional exploration, Gisela Wendling, Ph.D., has developed a successful methodology and framework for working with transformational change. Practitioners across continents have been using the Wendling Liminal Pathways Change Framework™ (LPF) for nearly two decades, and it is reaching an increasingly wider audience.

A recently concluded study of its efficacy demonstrates its important instrumental and psychological value for working with the most challenging aspects of designing and leading change. And now, Gisela has identified competencies and practices that help individuals, organizational leaders, and those who support these processes as facilitators, consultants, and coaches to develop their change confidence.

Coach & Mentor

“The Liminal Pathways Change Framework melds theory and practice with deep knowledge about rites of passage and ancient wisdom. This can now be used easily in business contexts.”

Sr. Organization Development Practitioner

“As a change leader, it is my role to create structures (or crucibles) that allow people to transform whatever energy they bring to a change from one state to the next on their way to acceptance. When using the Liminal Pathways Change Framework, people no longer need to be managed through a change, but instead, are given the scaffolding to make their own way.”
